The Orbital Sciences Corporation Satellite Manufacturing Facility (formerly General Dynamics/C4 Systems and Spectrum Astro, Inc.) plant in Gilbert, AZ is the most advanced satellite manufacturing and testing facility in the United States. Ricor, Inc. provided the earthwork, asphalt paving, and site concrete for this 80-acre site, which includes a 135,000-square-foot main building that encompasses multiple clean-room assembly, integration, and testing areas. The facility can accommodate the production of more than twenty satellites simultaneously, while simulating a variety of environmental conditions encountered in space.
