Constructed on U.S. Bureau of Reclamation lands in Queen Creek, AZ, the Central Arizona Project – Superstition Mountain Recharge Basin project supports the Central Arizona Groundwater Replenishment District (CAGRD) replenishment needs in the East Phoenix Active Management Area. Ricor, Inc. performed the earthwork for Phase 1 of the project, which provides approximately 40-acres of excavated recharge basins with a permitted volume of 25,000 acre-feet per year.
